The KINOLT life cycle extension program is more than a general overhaul of changing bearings and brush up components of the kinetic energy accumulator. Parts for classic controls systems based on the older type of Printed Circuit Boards are becoming more and more obsolete. KINOLT offers an upgrade of the controls system to its latest KS-Vision® 2.0 control system, extending the lifetime from 20 to 30 years and beyond. This results in considerable savings as no funds need to be invested in completely overhauling systems, but using the existing infrastructure.
Diesel engines can be serviced into a life cycle extension as well with a periodic inspections. Additional technologies like Selective Catalytic Reduction System (SCR) meet the latest diesel emission standards imposed by local governments.
Existing power distribution panels with outdated switchgear will be replaced and serviced.
